Local gardening educator, Felicia Motherway, will hold an Herb Planter Workshop at the Hampton Falls Free Library on Tuesday, May 22 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Learn some basic horticulture as you ‘get your hands dirty’ planting a variety of fragrant, culinary herbs in a 20″ terra cotta planter to bring home.
There is a $25 fee for the program; payable in advance at the Library to Felicia Motherway.

Join us for a discussion of Joyce Maynard’s “The Good Daughters” on Tuesday, January 31 at 7pm – Newcomers always welcome and copies of the book are available at the Library Circulation Desk.

Two families, the Planks and the Dickersons, are mysteriously entwined in this exquisite novel that centers on decades of life at a New Hampshire farm. Youngest daughters Ruth Plank and Dana Dickerson, born on the same day in the same hospital, take turns narrating the struggles they face as children. Ruth feels a coldness from her mother; Dana is unsettled by her kooky parents constantly uprooting her and her brother Ray. Regardless, the Planks pay a yearly visit to the Dickersons no matter where they’ve ended up living. Town Office Candidates Open House – “Meet & Greet”

The Hampton Falls Free Library will host our 6th Annual ”Meet & Greet” event for townspeople to meet the candidates running for election to town office. If you would like to put a face to the name and/ or learn more about those who will be on the ballot March 13 – please join us for cider, coffee, cookies and conversation!

Basket Making Program! February 1st

Nancy Brown Duffie will be back to teach a “Candle Basket”. The last workshop was great fun!! You don’t want to miss this one. It will be held on Wednesday, February 1st from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. The cost is $15 per person. A sample of the basket is on display at the Library. Please sign up in advance as space is limited!

We had an excellent turnout (and a lot of fun) at the Library’s bookfair at Barnes and Noble – if you’re an online shopper, you can still help us earn money for books until December 1st by using our Bookfair ID #1059602 when purchasing items from BN.com. Here’s how:

How do I ensure that my online purchase is credited to my bookfair?

On the payment page for your online purchases, you will see a prompt “Check if this is a Bookfair Order”. When you click on it, you will get a payment screen where you can enter your bookfair ID 1059602 in the space provided. This bookfair ID number is the same provided by your organization for in store shopping.

If you are signed into an existing account, from the Checkout screen, click on the Change button on the upper right of the Payment tab. This will bring you to the full payment page where you can enter your bookfair ID i1059602 in the space at the bottom of the page.
